I grew up in Douglas and attended school at Douglas K through 12. I graduated in 1992. I then moved to Tennessee, pursuing my degree from Athens State University, earning certificates from Alabama and Tennessee. I taught for 2 years in Benton County, Tennessee. After those two years, I took a leave from the teaching profession to begin a family. I have two girls, Riley and Carlea. I returned to Alabama in 2005 with the opportunity to return to my home school and begin a new teaching career. I have been teaching for 16 years within the Marshall County School System and have been an educator for 20 years. I have now begun my administrative career at Asbury Elementary and Douglas Elementary schools. I am married to Tim Bush of Crossville. We have 5 children; Caleb, Myranda and Erin, as well as Riley and Carlea. We have our first grandchild, Sophia Alice, who turned one in November.
